For sure, but I do think that Putin has taken it on the chin many time, and showed tremendous restraint. It would be closer to say that the Russia-Ukraine war is actually Russia vs NATO. The weapons are NATO including Tanks, Artillery, Missiles. The Intel, and campaign plans are a NATO product. And thousands of so called mercs are actually active duty NATO troops. That Putin has not taken direct action against a NATO country is why we don't have a WWIII.
Now you may say that Putin did not respond directly to NATO because it was not in his interest to escalate, that this would be playing into the warmongers hands, and this is true, but that is what rational, smart people do.
