This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

Just 10-15 years ago you could still get a house for $100,000 in places.
It’s actually mostly been since Trump that it’s shot through the roof.
I suspect and hope that he’s using it to try and break them. “Sometimes you have to show them.” “I’m gonna teach them to fight again!”
Was he talking about us? So how do we fight?
For starters don’t have parents in a nursing home. Get someone who can’t afford a house as a live-in-caregiver if the support is needed, imo. Liquidate their house and build a small house on your property.
WEF was much farther along on the “owning nothing” than we thought. We are already eating bugs and have been for decades (shrimp, lobster, etc). Check my thread on “owning stocks”. Most people who think they do, don’t. Nobody I know actually owns a house. Nevermind getting to that stage, what’s the form in which such a thing would even be done, for starters?
