IMHO, the bible's 66 books in the KJV were/are the inspired (and preserved) Word of God. Anything else that man has added by way of extra books or new age translations are abominations.

The KJV originally contained the Apocrypha. It was first left out to save on printing costs.

Negative. Books were removed by "reformers". This is easily verifiable if one takes the time to research.

But 66 is wrong? The books of 1st & 2nd Samuel, Chronicles and Kings were originally 3 books, the 'minor prophets' were in a single book, so it never 66 books that is mans work from the 12th century onwards!
