I appreciate the sentiment, and it's not like we're not allowed to have any kind of firearm. It's not very well known, but we can all apply for a shotgun certificate and the police have to have a good reason to refuse it. It's just that most people have no idea.

Actual rifles etc. are a bit more difficult, but it's possible. Handguns were banned after a school shooting here decades ago though.

However, most of my 'countrymen' are pussified twats and if I ever let people know I use a shotgun they're typically a combination of mystified and horrified. The spine has gone out of the British people as a whole.

There may be 10-20000 true brits left, out of 60 odd million. We're fucked. It might not be so bad if they hadn't shut down all the pubs or convinced everyone to carry spy devices around all the time. Any actual action would, by necessity, need to be small scale and thus, more easily overcome/ignored.

Brits just don't have any experience of gorilla warfare anymore.
