Not the fault of immigrants that Americans have allowed their heritage to be given away like a pot of beans. This was always in our control, but we decided the couch was better than the political campaign, stayed home, and let the activists seize the reins of power. Now we want to shoot the messenger. Better to get off our butts and be vocal and active in support of the America we want to have. I have very low patience and respect for low-energy carpers. I ran into a lot of this in union politics, where a mostly conservative union was run by a mostly liberal-Democrat council. Every time I asked a conservative member to run for a vacant council seat, the response was, "Me? God forbid! I don't want to have anything to do with that." Just because one won't participate does not prevent weasels from taking the available positions. Freedom is not a battle. It is like a farm, requiring continual tilling, cultivation, and weeding. When you decide to turn your back on this hard, unrelenting work, it will become a battle.
