Isn't that up to the state? We brought it to a vote in my state and the people here actually voted to keep the property tax, the main reason...our roads. Also our public schools aren't bad here, especially in the smaller towns.
ND has a lot of roads to maintain we don't have a lot of public transport, you need a car to go anywhere, four wheel drive isn't just a luxury here it's a necessity. North Dakota winters are no joke. I have had to walk in -30f weather to work when I was younger I'm thankful I don't have to again.
The title of the post maked it sound otherwise. I know you didn't write it .
But what alternatives are there to cover infrastructure costs?
We chose to keep it. Any decent shopping . Many things including medical anything beyond a clinic visit are an hour plus away.
I'm wondering if POTUS has something up his sleeve to provide funds for infrastructure possibly from Tariffs because he mentioned eliminating Property Taxes recently. I trust him to handle things like this safely Guess we'll have to see what he has in mind Hunny...

It is.
But the the comptroller leverages the school and dot to go wild about it if people want to reduce it. Happens everywhere on repeat.
They are all buddies.
