Don't miss my point. Evil is a word that can be lost on a lot of people. Many might think it's just a caution like premarital sex is bad. you can take it or leave it depending on how much weight you give to religious terms and concepts.
But you can be atheist and still accept and relate to the concept of money being a prime motivator for a certain type of hollow person. You don't have to be evil to be corrosive to your environment and other people. Their values eventually are out of alignment with yours and mine.
