I did read, I forget where, maybe the Federalist papers, our founding fathers stated (not me). If angels ruled the world we wouldn't need laws, but they don't. Not a quote, as I am not sure if the wording is exact. Also Lord Acton wrote ( I know, British) I do agree with him also, absolute power corrupts absolutely. I kind of agree with you also, but I do find that many of the politicians in DC probably didn't go in politics to be corrupt, it just ended up being the way they saw riches beyond their wildest imagination. So maybe that is really something, to me-IMHO
