Report: Marco Rubio Imposter Calls High-Level Officials Using AI-Generated Voice
An individual posing as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly used an AI-generated voice to call high-level officials in what appears to be an attempt to manipulate government officials to obtain access to information or accounts.
Well, the source for this is allegedly the State Department informing the Washington Post, which is a synonym for (the CIA Daily Bugle). So, hmmm.
The "State Department" wants us to know via the clown daily Bugle that deep fake AI voice messages are now a thing. What recordings are they prepping to refute as deep fakes, I wonder? This is clearly a defensive measure to precondition doubt onto something that may soon be released.
I think immediately that Trump need to sign EO making it a felony to use AI to impersonate a government official in this fashion. Secondly congress needs to pass legislation dealing with this.
AI platform need to be head accountable for this type potentially criminal action.
Shouldn't we all have default trademarks over our likeness and voice?
