Key parallels between the fictional nation of Boravia in James Gunn’s Superman (2025) and Israel, as interpreted by audiences and critics:
1. Military Aggression Against a Weaker Neighbor
Boravia, a U.S.-backed nation, invades Jarhanpur (a poorer, less-equipped country) with advanced weaponry, mirroring Israel’s military actions in Gaza .
Scenes show Boravian soldiers (ethnically white) pointing rifles at unarmed Jarhanpurian civilians (non-white), evoking imagery of the Israel-Palestine conflict .
2. Settler-Colonial Allegations
Boravia’s goal is framed as a settler-colonial project to displace Jarhanpur’s indigenous population, echoing criticisms of Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories .
The arid environment and modest clothing of Jarhanpurians further reinforce Gaza parallels .
3. Political Leadership Resemblance
Boravia’s president, Vasil Glarkos, bears a physical and authoritarian resemblance to Benjamin Netanyahu .
Glarkos collaborates with Lex Luthor (a Trump/Musk-like billionaire), suggesting U.S.-Israel alliances in real-world geopolitics .
4. Media & Propaganda Parallels
Lex Luthor spreads anti-Superman propaganda via social media bots (monkeys posting online), akin to accusations of Israeli/US-backed online influence campaigns .
A Fox News parody in the film amplifies xenophobic rhetoric against Superman (the immigrant), reflecting real-world media narratives .
5. Superman’s Intervention as a Political Statement
Superman’s unilateral halt of Boravia’s invasion is seen as Gunn’s critique of U.S.-backed military actions, similar to debates over Israel’s operations in Gaza .
Lois Lane’s defense of Boravia (“unchecked Jarhanpur could cause bloodshed”) mirrors pro-Israel arguments about Hamas .
Gunn denies direct parallels but admits the film is “about politics” .
I suspect Ben must be the down vote on my comment. Have you ever seen the Global Jewish census numbers before and after the 2nd World War? These were done before they decided to Guilt Humanity into the biggest fabrication in Human History.
My guess is that the six million number just means "a lot" and is used in the same way that we might say "five minutes" or "forty winks" maybe even "forty days and forty nights".
The number was used at least since 1900, well before the moustachioed man even won his first Iron Cross!.
Read some David Irving books and you'll see how much effort went into stopping any proper investigation. It's a shame we had to live our entire lives being force fed this story. When before that millions of Christians in the Soviet Union were worked and starved to Death by Bolsheviks. Humanity should sue the people who worked so hard to keep this Tall Tale alive.
They both have a history of interest in communism and the occult, but I'm sure that's a co-incidence
Either way- Superman is, and always has been, laugable leftist fantasy; it is only seen otherwise because it's dressed in patriotic colors - but those are skin deep and subversive.
The fact that this administration has knowingly associated itself with that imagery should be a serious cause for concern.
It's a pretty obvious analogy, though, isn't it? In a story- which can't be emphasised enough- that was written by two Jewish refugee anchor baby Communists?
I'm struggling to see anything that isn't woke about it
The left aren't wrong that Superman is woke, they're just wrong that this is in any way acceptable
The ultimate authoritarian figure. Remember the story line where he, they good guy, decided to reverse time to save the life of his beau, for personal reasons, ignoring the rest of the world.

Thanks. Knowing this, I may watch it some day.
I think he's secretly helping fill movie seats.
I heard they were expecting six million.

StreisandShapiro EffectIt must be good then.😂
Superman is a deeply and inherently woke franchise.
The main character is literally a refugee anchor baby, who - whether it is his fault or not - attracts a threat to us from his countrymen.
And far from being a story about the risks of tolerating those like him, he somehow comes to embody everything great about America just... because.
Aaand, would you believe it, the original Superman author and the original artist were both Jewish refugee anchor babies:

And everyone cheered.
Yup, exactly my point.
It's extremely disconcerting to see so many people fall for this imagery
