You also don’t need a permit on free boating days designated by the Marine Board. and any other times and places they designate
but regardless these are exempt: Nonmotorized boats under 10 feet (single tubes, small kayaks, SUPs.)
They need money and that's why they are doing this.
I can float any boat without motor here and no need for any type of permit.
