Has nobody considered that in order for actual prosecutions, the client list (and other evidence) can't be released yet? Not only would it give the people on the list time to prepare or GTFO Dodge, but it would "poison the jury pool", and give the lawyers plenty of time and ammo to create legal reasons why it can't be entered into evidence in court.
It will come out one day - after trials.
This is not to say the evidence wasn't doctored while at SDNY (or the CIA), but both can be true.
