I'm not a fan of when I have to call out what certainly appear to be more patriotically aligned or freedom-oriented alt-media outlets for sensationalizing, clickbaitting, twisting facts, or dealing in Legacy Media style poop.
Shakespeare once wrote: "To rant, or not to rant; that is the question!"
BUT, that is what good ol' Mr. Jim Holt is doing here. Jim, if the only way you can sell GWP and make money to support your family and/or your activism/business (is that what it is?) is to spin crap and distort truth, friend, you're in the wrong business.
What (reportedly) Flynn said:
“I would say right now, if I were in the Department of Justice, or if I was in the White House, I would demand that the Attorney General immediately take away the passports from these individuals who we know, have already been named,” Flynn said.
Sheeesh. You do not need to go to Oxford University to know that this is NOT Flynn calling on anybody. It's Flynn making a comment about what HE would do, which yes, can be taken as indirect advice, but its not a demand and it's not calling on any body (DOJ) to do something.
Here is what calling on the DOJ would sound like:
"The DOJ must take away their passports!" or "I demand the DOJ take away their passports!" or "In order to fulfill its responsibility, the DOJ has to take away their passports." or "Dammit, DOJ! Take away their passports!!!!"
I know that most frogs' interest in this story is not the distortion that Jim Holt is injecting into the story, or the spin and free-wheeling manipulation that he's using there to create readership and therefore clicks, rather than actually informing the public about the actual facts, but, this sort of behavior, this sort of pseudo-journalism, is rotten, whether its CNN doing it, People Magazine doing it, the National Enquirer, or Gateway Pundit (Jim Holt).
The real value in this story is that Flynn (who very frequently DOES call on many sectors to take action - Potus, DOJ, FBI, the Public, Patriots, etc) is explaining his very real position that Obama and Brennan et al committed Treason and that an appropriate response is to confiscate their passports.
Who says that? Who shouts "Treason!"? Why, anons. Frogs.
General Flynn is saying what the Great Awakening is saying. And that's a great story. And, imo, it's an advance column. Flynn is like the vanguard, the special ops deployed to front run the main army before they land at the beach. And folks, <datefaggin>, it looks like the Patriots are getting very close to the beach.
But please, Mr. Holt, don't sell me bullshit in a headline. Don't act like a tabloid or legacy propaganda machines. Be a responsible journalist. Media MUST be responsible.
PS. I only mention this because the nature of the headline shouted out a red flag to me. Calling on the govt to do X specifically, like 'take away their passports' is not something I believe Flynn would do. He knows its not his job to tell others HOW to do their job. He does often call on <party>, but to execute their responsibility. Not overstepping responsibility to tell them HOW to do it. Imo.
<End rant>
Addendum: this is also why I think frogs (i.e OP) here should think twice (actually, three or four times) about just copy pasting headlines provided by X-influooencers or alt-Media pundits, instead of actually digesting the information and sharing the substance with the board. High effort / high news posting requires filtering the crap to some extent, not reproducing or multiplying it.
Shoot. I really don't like it.
