Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Draw near to God.
Isaiah 33:14-16 https://biblehub.com/bsb/isaiah/33.htm
14The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling grips the ungodly:
“Who of us can dwell with a consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting flames?”
15He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, who refuses gain from extortion, whose hand never takes a bribe, who stops his ears against murderous plots and shuts his eyes tightly against evil—
16he will dwell on the heights; the mountain fortress will be his refuge; his food will be provided and his water assured.
Furthermore in James 4: https://biblehub.com/bsb/james/4.htm
6But He gives us more grace. This is why it says:
“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
9Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom.
10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Trust in Jesus to save you, purify you and guide you through all your days on this earth. You will dwell in unimaginable love, even here, you will dwell in it. Nothing will be able to shake you. How do you suppose those early martyrs were able to endure torture and death and still proclaim their faith? God is a consuming fire! He will consume all that fear and doubt fren
