Higher premiums for Medicare even though we paid Medicare taxes for 50 years so there shouldn’t be ANY premiums!
I've done the right things through my life and have found the government penalizes me for doing the right things. Put myself thru college while working fulltime, held a steady good paying job, lived below my means, paid off my house early, invested for my retirement years and maintained my health. The government has taxed my paycheck with income, social security, and, Medicare taxes for decades including a higher tax bracket. Now, they forced me onto Medicare where we are paying over $200 more for healthcare insurance than when we were working (What did my Medicare taxes go to? Promises made,promises broken!). And they are after my 401K with forced withdrawals which hike my income tax bracket AND causes a Medicare IRMAA premium penalty ! I did the right thing thru out my life and the government penalizes me for it while my do-nothing brother-in-law gets free Medicare and a full tax refund .
The government is de-incentivizing self-reliance and rewarding failure!
and what further cuts to our medicare will they make to afford this! take away silver sneaker and just take a fat shot? ohhhh no!
