Well, the biggest issue is that there is evidence all over the place, going back decades, that point to Trump having a long standing friendship with Epstein. ( Edited to add: I want to point out right here that there is nothing illegal with being friends with a horrible person. I'm sure that Trump did not know about illegal stuff Epstein was doing just because they were friendly. I have constantly pointed out to people right here that guilt by association is not a legitimate judgment of character or actions and this is one of the biggest examples of why I say that and try to get people to understand why they shouldn't do it.)
Quotes in magazines and newspapers from years ago, videos of them together, photos of them together, statements made by each of them over the years, all of that has been recorded for years before Obama or Biden or anyone else. And Trump never refuted them when they were made.
It's simply a fact that Trump and Epstein were at the very least close social acquaintances where each made public comments that at least suggested a long standing friendship.
But suddenly all of this was manufactured by Trump's enemies? Trump took all the credit for his justice department being the ones to put Epstein away in the first place. But all of a sudden, we can't trust Trump's justice department either? To be indelicate...bullshit.
And all this stuff that Trump's starting to say that suggests that it's not a priority to release all information we have in regards to Epstein? Also bullshit.
I understand that this is going to really upset the people that tend to blow whatever way the wind is currently blowing. But...fuck 'em.
If people who have been demanding the Epstein files to be released are now singing a completely different tune, well...they can go fuck themselves. At least admit that they never really cared about finding and punishing people that are involved in sex trafficking of children, and are just squawk boxes that repeat whatever their...(I dunno, leaders, I guess we'll call them?) leaders tell them to say.
I'll also point out that this is the same list they've had since Trump was President the first time. I read conversations right here where people discussed Trump being included in the files. At the time, all of the info available about Trump specifically was about him being on certain flight lists (at the time thought to be not to the island, and not with Epstein on board. And then there were people bringing up puboic quotes by both Trump and Epstein, praising the other, and then people would talk about the falling out they had, and speculation about exactly what it was that brought about the end to their friendship (or whatever it was). Was it a bad real estate deal, or did Trump find out about Epstein's fondness for 15 and 16 and 17 year old girls? There was tons of discussion about all that here, in these very chats.
Then all of that has been added to along the way with videos of them, and photos, and quotes dug up from old newspaper articles or magazine articles, going back decades.
And during ALL of that, since Epstein was arrested all the way back in 2019, and was being investigated by President Trump's justice department, there has been a constant demand here for those files to be released. CONSTANT. FOR SIX YEARS.
But all of a sudden, when there's been a very public revelation that President Trump was in the files (again, something that has been known by people here since the beginning), all of a sudden we can't trust those same files that we've been demanding for 6 years?
Now, at no time, ever has anyone said that Trump is guilty of anything simply because his name has been brought up in the files. There are plenty of reasons why his name could be in the files that have absolutely nothing to do with anything illegal.
I'm going to pause here to point out that THIS is exactly why we should not proclaim people guilty by association. We have a horrible habit of doing this with liberals. We have no problem with proclaiming every single liberal named in the Epstein files as pedophiles (complete with demands for immediate public execution as well) simply because they're in the files. I think this is why people get so upset when they hear that Trump is named in the Epstein files. Because they automatically assume guilt by association. Which is just retarded and the knee-jerk reaction of ignorant people. So see, when I tell people that it's not a good idea to judge someone guilty simply because they're associated (no matter how loosely) with something evil, this is why.
Anyway, getting back to the point, just because Trump is in the files doesn't meant that he has done anything wrong or illegal. It just means he's one of the hundreds of names that have come up while investigating. If there isn't any evidence of him doing anything actually illegal, which I'm sure is the case, then there is no reason to keep the files from being released, or casting doubt on their validity, or suggesting that it's not important to release them.
Be honest here. If it was any other President doing this, would you still be doing a 180 in regards to these files?
Seriously, just switch the names around. Pretend nothing else was changed except the names involved. Pretend that President Obama was the one who, six years later was told that their name was in the files, and it was Obama who suddenly started saying that the list was made up by Trump and Trump's people and that they were trying to railroad Obama, and Obama suddenly started acting like it was a huge waste of time to release this list or act on any of the information in it, even if Obama had frequently talked about the importance of preventing child sex trafficking (you know, what Epstein, who the list was made about, was doing), and all of a sudden, Obama has decided the Epstein lists (which had very publicly been talked about and speculated on for 6 years) are BS, and no one should be concerned about them anymore.
Now, be honest, if the names here were switched, and nothing else, who here would say that Obama has a good point and it's not concerning at all that the Epstein list is now not important to him anymore. Raise your hand.
And if you don't hear from me for 3-5 days, this post is most likely the reason. Maybe a few people will get to read it before it's yanked. 🤷♀️
