We should have a rule that if a federal district court judge has more than 3 opinions overturned, they get suspended for a year3 more opinions overturned and they’re permanently banned from the courtWe can’t have consequence-free judicial tyranny
I would say if over 5 percent of their cases are overturned or some other percent that those knowledgeable on the court system comes up with.... the reason not a fixed number is that judge that sees 2,000 cases and get 5 cases overturned is better than a judge who see 300 cases and get 3 overturned. I still want judges who question previous rulings of the court, but I want them to temper the disagreement
Good point.
