It works. In 2021 I worked for a US Govt contractor, whose only customer was/is DoD. The vaccine mAnDaTe was still up in the air. The plant manager decided it was prudent to have a mask mandate in the plant. I never wore one. I didn't brag about it; I just didn't do it. No trouble. Ignored. They all wore them and walked about, I did not. That, my friend, is peaceful resistance.
I still have PTSD from all the times I was harassed in grocery stores for not wearing one. And I never caved. And thank god I convinced my hubby and grown kids not to get the jab. PTSD is bad but worth it considering the alternative.
now, if the vaccine mAnDaTe had taken hold, i was mentally ready to be fired for it - it wasn't a great job - but it paid the bills. the message is, never surrender your principles or beliefs for others. stand your ground and say no! fight!
