This is my thought as well. The list being released first off effectively does nothing, it’s a feel good action weak leaders would make. Releasing the list won’t bring justice it will just bring chaos.
Secondly, like you said, think of the types of people on this list. I feel like a lot of people assume the list is US politicians and US celebs. I’m sure a majority of the list is people like that, but there’s definitely some foreign heads of state or senior politicians on that list, who knows what methods of retaliation they have in their arsenal.
IMO nothing has changed at all. The only way we succeed here is by effectively running the largest sting operation in human history. Once these dangerous people are cut off from their source of power, then we can start declassifying things and making the public aware. I think the last few weeks have all been optics, much going on behind the scenes.

I think your post makes a lot of sense as much as it does pain us that a list cant simply be produced. I dont believe the DOJ could release such a "list" without piles of documents in between each name as they get indicted. This is clearly a matter of national security. We do eventually, need to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help is God. So that we can make sure this doesn't happen again, and also so regular folks dont take it upon them to render justice themselves.
