I wish there was some recognition of how shitty the job market is right now, largely due to employer dumbassery. A little shaming from the POTUS might go a long way towards fixing the problem, along with stopping the flow of H1B and similar scams.
Prices are still at Biden levels. Our salaries aren't going to move until around March at most companies, and will probably be another pittance. Normally getting a better job would be the solution to take advantage of the boom but most corporations have become so dysfunctional with their hiring that it's nearly impossible to get past the stupidity.
I'm happy for you that you're not experiencing what the rest of us are.
Fuck you if you won't open your eyes.
Prices have not gone down. That's a fact. Salaries haven't gone up and are unlikely to for at least 9 months. Another fact. The job market is the worst it's been for job seekers in probably 50 years. Another fact.
"I'm happy for you that you're not experiencing what the rest of us are."
I assure you that I do not live in a "land before time" location where I am unaffected by all the thing that make your life difficult.
I do apologize for my callous Reddit comment to you. I'm getting old, and grouchy, and say thing I never would have said in my younger days.
I do think that Trump is doing the right things. I view it a bit like a huge ship that when the wheel is turned, it takes sometime before the ship begins to turn.
I also apologize. I was operating on insufficient sleep and I could have been a lot more gracious.
I also agree that Trump is doing the right things. And he's succeeding at an almost impossible task. But 2026 is right around the corner and I know no one who isn't feeling like things are getting worse instead of better when it comes to household finances. There's still time, and I hope most people will cut him some slack and put more conservatives in Congress even if things are stagnant. I guess I'm worried all this progress will be reversed if we give Dems a way to win seats in the midterms.
