New mothers only get the necessities. Speaking as a former loser, the process to get EBT was ridiculous. Didn't have to prove anything. "No i don't have a job, and I live on my friends couch." is all I had to say in WA state for 4 years. Me and ALL my able bodied buddies would eat like kings.
