Yeah, I saved a lot, too!
Biting my tongue so as not to curse myself, but I have a 30yo KitchenAid. Have to manually defrost it once in awhile as the self-defrost freezes up, but that's it. Thing is so cold, food keeps almost forever, stuff on the top shelf will sometimes freeze. Produce lasts for weeks, meat if packed a certain way, (vacuum sealed, with or without, the gas to keep it fresh), lasts, I've used stuff 3 weeks past it's sellby date, that has been absolutely fine!
