There you go doing math again.

What are people to think with such factual data staring them in the face?

If the data is granular enough, and accurate, the animation of this would be fascinating.

Even if the data weren't accurate, the imagery would get people thinking about it in a reasoned manner and get more data.

Maybe the criterion for a "1000 year flood" needs adjustment. Bad things happen more often than one would hope. Recognize it and prepare better.
