Quebec collects more money from the rest of Canada. They would be giving up a good thing if they left Canada

They also are French and were never giant fans of English Canada. So it’s a question of will financial self-interest. Triumph over nationalistic interests.

Though they may also be reading the writing on the wall and are heading for the lifeboat while the getting is good.
