How does the gubmint get a science project into the public sector
By funding it, like they did with Google et cet.
and why would they do that ?
to make progress, develop useful stuff
My problem isn't the fact that the government funds private citizen's science projects and delivers the end results to us all to use. I love the internet! My problem is with them LYING to us about them, PRETENDING they are organic, private companies, and VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS via those companies, like they've done repeatedly throughout the last 15 years.
If they were all PROPERLY CLASSIFIED as Public Utility, they would be bound by the Constitution / Bill of Rights. It would be very much illegal to censor lawful speech or manipulate the search engine to bias towards one view or the other, for example
They are doing worse than lying. People like Bezos, Gates, Jobs & Zuckerburg are just faces, they didn't develop the tech, that was D.A.R.P.A etc. They are not rich, the $$ goes back to the black budget. Think of all the cash from Google. They are American Taxpayer companies, thats the point.
if i'm understanding your question accurately,
