Have you looked at the maps? What Texas is doing is NOT "Gerrymandering." It is simply redistricting...and de-Gerrymandering the previous map. The namesake "Gerrymander" was an artifact of Democratic control of the redistricting.
(Don't bother to pettifog over this being the Democratic-Republican Party. It was originally a Democratic Party at the outset of the nation, but adopted the appendage to blunt the public aversion to the Democratic part. They have been in continuous existence ever since, having dropped the "Republican" part. Always the party of racial slavery and Jacobinism.)
