If someone believes the Bible history is myth/legend/metaphor or allegory, then saying, 'It's going to Biblical" would be nonsense. Now this is 'Biblical' & a warning to America:
We're about cross the Jordan to the Promise Land, but there is a warning for America:
Deut. 6:10 “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He [c]swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, 11 houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full— 12 then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 13 You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. 14 You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you 15 (for the Lord your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the Lord your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth.
Judges 2:7 So the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord which He had done for Israel.
Judges 2:10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.
Israel’s Unfaithfulness 11 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals; 12 and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger. 13 They forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Jer 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And [d]desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the [e]mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.
All progress in the days ahead can be destroyed by the Sin Nature of man.
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
Yes, Jesus spoke in Parables to teach about the 'Kingdom of God', but they weren't literal History. The Bible uses types, symbolism & other methods, but when real History is recorded, then it's literal.
St. Clement of Alexandria is considered the first Christian theologian (writer) who uses allegorical interpretation, nevertheless a vigorous reaction against the Alexandrian allegorism made itself manifest in the fourth and fifth centuries. Its center was Antioch, which concentrated on the literal sense of the holy Scriptures.
11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the [a]mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I [b]should heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
An old preacher used to say, don't use the Bible this way, open the Bible randomly & point to a verse or this might happen, ...and Judah went out and hung himself, then again...go and do likewise. 😵🤪😂🤣

...I am old enough to remember people tearing the Bible apart for references to "Watergate"...
...you do the math...
...howls...

We should add “A plague of indians” to the list.
