Putin doesn’t recognise Zelensky as Ukraine leader. Zelensky cancelled their election so he’s not the leader. Putin stated that if Zelensky signed a peace agreement etc. an incoming elected Ukraine leader could say in the future, the peace agreement is nil and void because under the Constitution Zelensky was not elected by the people.
