You don’t own your house, your car, your movies, your books, your music, your money, it’s all rented. And can be taken away…….and forget about inheritance or generational wealth.
You know that plastic shark fin antenna on the roof of the car? That's for the radio AND the satellite GPS. There are 2 connectors, just unplug one and it disables the GPS antenna and bye bye tracking.
I bought an aftermarket stereo for my car that didn't have navigation, but did have a GPS module. I figured why install the gps if there is no navigation, and didn't install it. On this particular Pioneer head unit, you cannot set the clock yourself. The time is set by the gps module. Yet I have to set the GMT offset and toggle DST on/off for the time to be correct. So WTF is the module for? Shouldn't it know that based on my location? I've no idea, but the module is landfill fodder now.
It's almost ironic that this shit started with games.
First, it was DLC that was actually built into the game that you couldn't access until you forked over more $$$. Then it was microtransactions if you wanted a full game. Not to mention the subscription gaming, where you have the pleasure of shelling out 70 bucks for a game, the paying another 25-30 each month if you actually wanted to be able to play it.
The gaming was a test run of this horseshit. Plus, it got the millennials and gen z idiots used to never owning anything, so they wouldn't care once they got in the "real" world and they were unable to own anything at all.
And with the elimination of pride in ownership, everything with turn ghetto and junk.

Just like Microsoft excel and word. Fuck their ‘subscription’. I don’t need constant updates. Just a basic word processing and spreadsheet program.
