I've thought about that before, could make it only trigger once they apply for a foreign passport or visit the country they are a dual citizen of.

Knew someone who didn't find out they were a dual citizen until the applied to serve on a submarine(dual citizens are not allowed on them). They let him serve on one after renouncing.
