Reminds me of a Boston Consultant Group thing, like Ryan Cohen of gamestop called out.

They infiltrate the board, their criminal hedge funds get the info and take on massive short positions in the company, then the board makes purposefully bad decisions to cause the stock to crash. Then the criminal hedge funds profit massively.
