I believe the best way forward with cannabis will be to make it so that federally it isn't enforced at all but it is enforced at the state level.
Rescheduling it any other way at the federal level sets a precedent for all states. Kicking it back to the states (like abortion) allows each state to do what they want with it.
Conservative states can keep it illegal and the lefty states can legalize it. Or whatever the individual states decides to do with it
Legalized weed accelerated the shitholing of calirado well beyond what was already happening. Denver and Boulder are third world shanty towns, crime is rampant, assaults and murders are up. DUI is killing people beyond alcohol caused crashes.
Even the smell of it is pushing people from neighborhoods and keeping people from spending time in town.
The promise of tax dollars from sales going to education was a ruse. Still hasn’t done anything to improve education as not a fraction of $$ promised was made. Black market is still rampant.
States should be wary and use this failure as an example.
Totally agree. This always ends badly. I think I am alright with moving it down from a schedule 1. But it needs to be removed from the smoking market. Prescription gummies with preset levels of THC, I would be good with. I know that there are some advocates here, but look at the weed states. It always goes badly and innocent people die. All you have to do is look back in history before drugs were made illegal to see why they made them illegal. Why is China so harsh on drugs? Besides all the bad effects, it hurts the country’s ability to compete. Economically and militarily. That is why they are pushing fentanyl and other drugs into the US streets.
Yeah because letting the Big Pharma industry have exclusive legal control over anything is a great idea. Plus we TOTALLY should emulate China.
Bro what?
Not enough money in gummies for big pharma. Yes, I know it may sound a little harsh, but it is for the best.
