They disappeared when Wayne lapierre got caught up in massive corruption scandals (pocketing member funds for massive personal vacations, suits, personal items) that also showed he was back door dealing for gun control with the left. FPC and others have made NRA completely irrelevant. NRA is honestly in a death spiral.
