FYI - in Germany, if you're on welfare, they do periodic home inspections. If you've got a new big screen TV, they take it right then and there... because if you're on welfare, you can't afford luxury items like that.
Bullshit, there is no periodic home inspections and they don't take away stuff people have if they're on welfare.
I can imagine only situation where that would happen and it's only if you're indebted and can't pay your debts then the court may confiscate your stuff, but I'm not sure if that happens in Germany. I know it does happen in the UK because there is even tv show where the camera team follows high court enforcement officers.

Just imagine if they did this on the USA?

According to my German associate, yes... they do. In Germany... which is what I said to begin with... and you said:
Why would you challenge what I'm sharing with the group, if you're "not sure if that happens in Germany"???
Seems people just want to be argumentative around here lately...Is Murphy in retrograde?
