In just the 5 years I lived in California I’ve seen two attempts to split the state into more than 1 state (2 Californias and 6 Californias), one actual republican candidate for governor (instead of D Vs D, per usual) and one “failed” recall of a highly unpopular governor.
The state is a criminal enterprise with roads and homes. The Democrats enjoy a mega-majority there and have rigged the electoral process so substantially that nobody can vote their way out. There is no political solution.
