Well, if she had a personal relationship with the Lord and read Hiis Word, she would know how important prayer is for the Christian. God says to come before His throne boldly bringing our petitions unto Him, knowing He will hear and answer our prayers according to His will. We know we can't stop the evil in this world, but we can ask God to comfort those who have been affected, and to give us direction and guidance on how to live our lives. It's always the fault of the guns, never the ones behind the evil deeds. We need the protection of guns for our own safety. No amount of laws can keep the weapons out of the hands of evil doers. Our own government has sold arms to our enemies. Somehow guns that were voluntarily turned into the officials have ended up back out there in the hands of criminals. They are not trying to keep us safe, just the opposite. What needs to happen is to stop the stupidity about Trans from the sex you were born with to the opposite. Just because you say it, surgeons cut and try to recreate something, you take a bunch of harmful meds to mess you up, does not make it true. Giving kids depression drugs, Ritalin, and other mind altering garbage needs to stop. That is what creates unstable and vulnerable kids who are brainwashed into unthinkable acts of violence. Yes, Jen, prayer probably doesn't work for you. God does not anwer the prayers of unbelievers unless that prayer is one of repentance and surrender to Him. Some of us have had to face a lot of trials and problems in this life, but God is the One Who sees us through each one.
