I cant point you back to a specific moment but Im fairly sure that at the beginning of all this in 2017, I had read that 17 was one of their comms and that it was taken away by the WHs to mock/confuse them.
Has anyone else here heard of this or is my memory faulty here?

Hmm, I've not heard this but find it intriguing.
