Interesting that every time I try to open this post by MrTruthBomb, X makes me sign in and then just takes me to a trending page. In order to open this specific post on X I had to go to Mr's page and scroll down to find the post. I don't know if X is trying to limit views on this post but it sure seems that way.
That's exactly what I experienced. The link has GAW in it, I noticed, so perhaps that's the fly in the ointment? I used the same workaround as you did.

I can usually just click on the link at the bottom of the X post that says "read more on x" but it wouldn't allow me to do that.
