At first I didn’t, but after I took a step back from my emotions and realized that if I looked at historical events - Reagan’s 2nd presidential election- there was precedent that an a** attempt on a popular sitting president resulted in a landslide. This same historical precedent is what makes me think that Trump will step down after the 2026 midterms and JD will finish out his term of office and then be easily elected as POTUS in 2028 and re-elected in 2032. The stats on an incumbent winning re-election is highly favorable. Trump isn’t in it for his ego, he’s in it to win it for us.That and the breakneck speed at which events are being handled in favor of MAGA really makes me think this is the plan. But this idea triggers half of the people on this board and will probably garner lots of downvotes. 😁

Yeah my thoughts on that are all over the place. With JD's connections to Peter Theil that could potentially be a setup for a precipice event of sorts.
