Appreciate the guidance. I’ve kind of unplugged from politics the last couple months and it has helped. I usually am very dialed in on current events, but as I’m sure you know, it can get to be very draining and even discouraging at times.
Still paying enough attention to know what is going on, but I’ve toned it down. Sometimes I envy the people out there who are asleep to all of this stuff, just going about their lives.
Once you “wake up”, it becomes very difficult to not focus too much on all the evil and chaos this world has to offer in so many areas.
Great analogy. That’s exactly how it feels at times.
Don’t get me wrong, ultimately I am glad I am awake. I try to guide others to the truth when I can and it helps me spiritually as well. The people who are still asleep are so often so dumb and uninformed in ALL areas that I cannot establish any kind of long term, meaningful relationship with them anyway.
That is absolutely a great litmus test that I have used throughout the years as well. Same with WMDs in Iraq. More recently, Covid protocols, election theft, etc.
All those topics help weed out those who are asleep.
