You ain't got to read it, just a comment I made one a while ago on Heavy Lifting.
I understand, but what does that mean, The Heavy Lifting?
It often helps define something by comparing it to something we are very familiar with. Jesus did this many time with his parables.
You have probably been involved in a move, like from one house to another. Over the course of my life, I have moved many times. Here is what I've learned:
The big items like beds, dressers, appliances, cabinets, those that are the heaviest, constitute the easiest things to move. The heavy items are contained within their footprint. You pick them up and move them as an item.
The big items, in total weight may not outweigh all the little items taken together.
The big items together may not be more important in the move, than all the sum of the little items.
The move of all the little, light things comprises most of the burden of moving.
Long after I have moved the big "heavy" stuff in the truck, and back out to the new location, my wife spends many more hours unpacking the little "light" boxes, and putting everything in it's proper place, making up beds etc.
Who does the Heavy Lifting does not necessarily contribute the most toward the objective, than will the sum of all the little small things that each of us can contribute to.
