The Jews admit that they are not the descendants of the Ancient Israelites in their writings.

It is in the name as well. “Ashkenaz” was a descendant of Japheth, not Shem/Israel.

There may have been some intermarriage later, as there seems to have been some with Edomite tribes.

The other ten tribes get completely neglected as ever existing after they disappeared, too.
