The UN wasn't really on Israel's side from the start and they were always constrained with the international community. The UN probably thought it was going to be over in '48 but it just so happens that muslim culture makes for retarded professional armies.

I was listening to Victor David Hanson today that said Obama aided Iran in order to counter balance Israel and the Gulf states. Trump really set that back with the Abraham Accords, and with Biden getting in, Iran felt it was the appropriate time to do a last ditch attack to throw a wrench in those plans but I believe that NCSWIC applies to this conflict as well - nothing should stand in the way to prosperity and the next generations future. I think Israel is fighting the same war against the Deep State that the US is, but it's more kinetic.
