Good point. Sadly, about 20 years ago, a lot of our casting suppliers closed up shop in Pennsylvania. Out supply chain people started beating their chest that they were going to be our savior but it completely fell flat on it's face. Castings had porosity, wrong dimensions, entirely wrong patterns were made and QC couldn't reject them fast enough.
Turns out, they were getting DEEP discounts from sourcing them from Mexico, Brazil and India. Complete garbage. It got so bad, customers would demand US based foundries only. I have no idea where they come from now.
It depends on the exact product, where you're sourcing materials, and what you can negotiate with brokerages.
I would actually guess from the price increase that they're all made in the US but some items source materials from China.
