I believe Xi is onboard. But they actually did have a big cargo stop. I think it was for a couple of weeks while the 100%+ tariffs were on. But economically, China is in deep trouble. They have been papering over a financial collapse for years. And the situation is getting worse all the time. So much of their growth was fake and tied to the huge US trade deficit, that the squeeze is on. Plus, a very large chunk of money is tied up in their corporate bonds which are totally worthless.
