He needs congressional approval to disband the Fed, not going to happen with this Congress.
Correct, but he can shut it down and wait for a Congress that will disband or get rid of it.

Nobody needs to get rid of the fed. Its going to collapse on its own.

The Federal Reserve is about as useful to us as NATO...
It seems like, but our president has a short list for replacement of Powell-maybe it will be like the Secretary of Education-put in to close it down (I hope).
