Hi frens,
Current pediatrician (in Massachusetts) requires all patients to follow the CDC vaccine schedule, no refusing/altering, or you're out of the practice. It seems like virtually all pediatricians are this way near me.
I need a doctor who can do the following:
- Not require vaccines (They're ALL poison. Every. Single. One.)
- Do wellness checks on my children at milestones to make sure my little ones are healthy (normal Pediatric stuff)
- Licensed to be able to give referrals
- Licensed to be able to order prescriptions (like if we antibiotics for strep/ear infections/etc)
- Takes my company's insurance
My children are 1 and 2, any advice would be much appreciated. Any other MA pedes with experience around here?
Thanks!
Edit: Thank you all for your helpful suggestions, my wife and I appreciate you all! We're going to consider a family physician, and realize that one covered by insurance is likely not going to happen.
Freedom isn't Free, right?? :)
As for medicine / home remedies, does anyone have any recommendations for kits that cover the most important stuff to have on-hand in case our little ones do come down with an illness?
Thanks again!
I’d echo what others have said. Have you avoided vaxxes for them so far?
Urgent cares, GP, telehealth through your insurance as needed. Amazon has a telehealth thing, too, for thinks like pinkeye and such that are easily diagnosed virtually.
If the kiddos are healthy, consider these alternatives for only going as the need arises. It’s true, the “well baby” visits are for vax and then they drop off…mysteriously.
Use earthclinic.com or search/ask this board for home remedies, too. Ear infection is common, and I have had great success using a steamed onion poultice and onion juice. Barbara O’Neill has a video explaining. Simple, cheap, better than antibiotics that destroy the gut microbiome.
