Fasting is a Biblical way of adding to your prayers and intentions, to appeal to Heaven. I will be abstaining from my supper tonight for the repose of Charlie's soul, for his wife and children, and for the shooter/conspirators to be quickly caught and brought to justice, along with all of the evil demonic people who are celebrating his political assassination to be brought to light and justice. It would be greatly encouraging if others could join as well, if you're physically able to of course. If you have serious health issues, then abstaining from other things like social media, phone, TV, or other things are applicable too.
Biblical quotes in favor of fasting in times of need and prayer:
Isaiah 58:6 New International Version 6 โIs not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?"
Matthew 6:16-18 New International Version 16 โWhen you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
Other quotes about fasting have stated that some sins or demons can only come out through prayer and fasting. Time to get the demons out of people and society!
If you were a Wise Elder and realized you only had Three months of food to feed your People for the next Four Months. Fasting would also be a Saviour. You could stretch out your food by eating less over time.
Very true. We eat too much in our diet anyway. Skipping one meal will not starve us, but hopefully make us a little uncomfortable.
