Alternative Title: Yes, Virginia! Confirmation Bias DOES exist! (We all have this issue!)
__
TLDR: The Mystery of the Sept 9 publication of "The Shooting of Charlie Kirk: A Comprehensive Account of the Utah Valley University Attack, the Aftermath, and America’s Response" provides a good opportunity to examine how confirmation bias can lead us to jump to conclusions and reinforce those biases, rather than side stepping those patterns of thinking and instead engaging with critical and objective thinking.
Overview
In case you missed it, screen shots of a book found on Amazon with a publication date of Sept 9 (one day before the assassination) have been making the rounds.
See also this post for a discussion of the publication date and the issues around it, and why it became noteworthy to people. (h/t u/TheDrip)

My post here records what I think are relevant facts (?) about the processes by which a book is registered with ISBN, which is the line I began to dig along after looking a variety of social media posts and other things.
After I went through a digging process, I came to what I personally think is a plausible and reasonable 'non-conspiratorial' explanation of how this book was listed with a 'publication date' of September 9, 2025 on Amazon.
As to what the most likely truth is, you can make up your own mind (I hope!).
But, regardless of your conclusion, I think its worth considering HOW you (or I) approach the matter. That's the main body of the post below.
Hopefully, you've got cup of java or whisky, or something, because this is a long one. I tried to avoid Wall of text syndrome, but my ability in that area is limited!
Here's the ISBN number for reference.

How Long Does It Take to Get an ISBN-13?
The time varies by country and processing method, but you can typically obtain the ISBN number itself almost instantaneously upon purchase or application.
The Process
The exact steps depend on your location (ISBNs are issued by national agencies under the International ISBN Agency). Self-publishers or small publishers typically apply directly.
When registering a book for ISBN, who fills in the 'publication date'?
When registering a book for an ISBN (which involves assigning the number to your title and submitting metadata to the national ISBN agency), the publisher (or self-publisher) is responsible for filling in the publication date. This is a required piece of bibliographic metadata that you provide during the title assignment process.
Can an Independent Publisher Backdate the ISBN Publication Date to the Day Before Registration?
Yes, an independent publisher can typically enter a publication date that is earlier than the date they register the book with the ISBN agency, including just one day prior, as long as it aligns with the actual or planned date when the book becomes available for public sale or distribution.
This field allows flexibility for pre-registration (e.g., submitting months in advance) or even slight retroactive entry, but it must reflect reality to avoid misleading buyers, retailers, or databases—intentionally false dates could lead to corrections, removal from listings, or credibility issues.
(FI Note: The author is supposed to register a legitimate publication date. They could have published the book 2 months earlier, then register with ISBN, but still fill in the publication date field as 2 months earlier. Amazon etc, all sellers would, most likely, be relying on the publication date registered with ISBN.
So, they are supposed to give a proper or accurate 'publication date' of when the work was available, and if they do not, the listing could be pulled or corrected etc. It's very possible that the book has been pulled from Amazon because a faulty 'publication date' was registered with ISBN.)
Can You Find the Registration Date of a Specific Book's ISBN?
No, it is generally not possible for the public to find the exact date when a specific book's ISBN was registered (i.e., when the publisher assigned the ISBN to the title and submitted metadata like title, author, and publication details to the national ISBN agency). This registration timestamp is an internal record maintained by the agency and is not made publicly available.
So after reading through the above content, you might see that a rather polarized choice is presented to you: which explanation do I go with?
Do I go with "the book was pre-published as part of a mass psyop operation in which the author/publisher knew that Charlie Kirk would be murdered, is a part of that operation, and the September 9 publication date is the smoking gun that tells us this"?
Or, do I go with "the book was listed with an incorrect or mistaken publication date, either deliberately or mistakenly, and was pulled from Amazon for that reason, and quite plausibly it has no conspiratorial connection to the Kirk Murder operation"?
Context - the Great Awakening, 2025
7 years after the Q operation was first launched, we can observe a few interesting and I think important points about where we are today, in September 2025.
One, a LOT of the core themes that Q awakened anons to have now become mainstream ideas. Human trafficking, psyops, corruption in the intel sector, Soros, The Russia Hoax, the c19 Psyop, etc.
Two, a LOT more people have flooded into this so-called 'truth sphere', where they rely not on mainstream news organs to tell them the truth, but increasingly turn to alternative sources and alt-media, including social media operations, to find information.
Three, the CORE anons who applied critical thinking, hard-nosed data searching & investigation (aka digging), and rigorous sifting of signal vs noise are no longer the only force within the so-called society of 'conspiracy theorists'.
A much larger population has been shifted out of the Cabal matrix, and this necessarily includes a lot of the that are not as hard-nosed or rigorous in their approach to information filtering. Consequence? A LOT of junk information gets also pushed around everywhere, in addition to valuable and factual information.
Four, Team TRUMP are in the driver's seat, both overtly and behind the scenes, and are at a critical stage which will perhaps make or break the future freedom of America and probably the World.
The public assassination and murder of Charlie Kirk comes at this exact time. It's a time when maximum effort should be engaged to be careful with how we react, respond and/or choose to act.
Each of Us is On a Path towards a Liberated Mind
Liberty of the mind is more central than, and more critical than, liberty of the body. Evil has, since the dawn of human history, worked to enslave our minds and hearts, using lies and corrupt or malformed desire, and on that basis, enslave our bodies.
But liberty means freedom, and at the core of freedom lies responsibility. There is no freedom without responsibility. That's true for individuals, for families, for communities and societies, and nations.
If we want to live in a free world or a truly free society, it requires that we step up to our responsibility, individually and collectively, to push towards internal liberation (of the spirit/mind) and towards actual liberation externally from the malignant controls that evil has sought to surround us with.
From this perspective, it's really up to each individual or group to check themselves, and to reflect on their approach to things. Ultimately, in pursuit of freedom, its up to us to self-correct. It's only when we do not self reflect that law and justice etc have to kick in to keep us in line.
For these reasons, no one can force another person think critically or to recognize and acknowledge personal bias, or to self-recognize one's own bias confirmation patterns. That's something each of us have to do for ourselves, although most assuredly having a group of peers who help one in that task is a great advantage. But ultimately, it comes down to personal choice.
How One Engages the Ocean of Information
We LIVE in an ocean of information and psyoppery. Whereas previously, historically, the information and psyops were all done by the cabal controllers or corrupt cabal inspired institutions, now, we are surrounded by a sort of wild west of information and ideas. To make our way forward, each of us has to build our ability to sift through that ocean of data and information, and come up with our own filters.
To me, that's why I think its so important that each of us takes every opportunity to self-reflect and develop an internal alarm system, one that lets one know if (when) you are moving towards confirmation bias patterns, or away from them. That alarm system is really important, because of course, the danger of confirmation bias lies in one not being aware that it's taking place.
An easy exercise is to backtrack your first thoughts and second thoughts an reactions when you came across the "Sept 9 publication" thing. If you reflect on how you engaged with it, you should be able to see whether your first or second instincts were towards confirmation bias or towards critical objective thinking.
If you reacted without thinking about it too much, you're more likely to be acting from confirmation bias. If you responded by investigating, checking, digging for some facts, you are more likely to be running on a critical thinking train.
Patterns of Thinking, Patterns of Behavior
It's important to note that, when reflecting on one's internal mental processes, the real crux of things is where we run patterns of thinking that we are not fully aware of. Our mind, both thought and emotion, can run down a specific pre-patterned path that, if we are unaware, will lead us to a pre-determined destination before we know it. Once we arrive there, we will usually conclude that what we think and what we know are the truth, because we feel so comfortable with how we got there.
This is a normal human behavior, although it is rooted in an instinctual response rather than in a conscious response. Our instincts, driven by unseen priorities, drive us to formulate and adopt certain patterns. It is these sorts of pre-conditioned patterns that the cabal and their minions utilize in order to manipulate us from a distance. They know the broad expanse of mental patterns that people operate in, and they seek to manipulate or exploit those.
Critical or objective thinking tends to break these pre-conditioned patterns of thinking down. From that point, awareness starts to increase. The more you move along this path, the more you begin to recognize just how many such pre-conditioned patterns of reacting, responding and thinking one follows every single day.
The more you recognize these patterns, the more empowered you become to make conscious choices about breaking away from them and creating new, conscious patterns of thinking. However, if you don't recognize those patterns, you cannot consciously choose to break away. This is why it all boils down to a practice of freedom and responsibility.
My Adopted Pattern(s)
These days, when I see certain types of information or patterns of behavior, my Ooops! Confirmation Bias Alert alarm gets triggered. Sometimes it’s in me, sometimes it is (or looks like) something I observe out there. But I guess it’s true that the more confident I become about what I understand to be happening in the world, the more skeptical I become about all the information and ideas that are shared in the info sphere.
That triggers a now preferred pattern of response. I got to the web, and I run a search. I dig. I track down info, and like one does when travelling down a rabbit hole, I find myself linking from here to here to here, and then slowly an alternative picture appears. Or, the original impression becomes confirmed, only now with data and after having been checked.
This is what happened when I came across the posts about the September 9 'publication' of "The Shooting of Charlie Kirk"
I'll try to lay the process out here, in case its useful or instructive to anyone else.
Firstly, I looked at the archived (Amazon) webpage. Then, I ran a search on Google for the author. That led me to find a few articles on what I consider tabloidish and unreliable publications, which then led me to be skeptical about the 'conspiratorial' narrative. (I was familiar with these sources due to past research on a different topic.)
Next, I searched for the book itself, and aside from media and social media articles, I found links to other book sellers, and an ISBN search engine that brought up the book. The Book had an ISBN number, which i recognized as an important widely used cataloguing system, so I dug into that. What is ISBN? Who issues these numbers? How?
That got me on to Grok, which is a great search engine for combing the web and returning information that it finds. (It might be artificial, but its hardly 'intelligence'. more like intelligence mimicry that artificial intelligence.)
From there, I brought subsequent questions to the Grok machine, finally getting a pretty good picture of what I suspect might have happened in this case. You can see some of the key points of that interaction with Grok above.
So, was the book written and published BEFORE the assassination of Charlie Kirk, as part of a larger psyop to influence the public?
or
Was the book hurriedly (and opportunistically) written (probably using AI), patching together related content and then, on September 11 registered deliberately or mistakenly in the ISBN with a faulty publication date, and put up on Google that same day?
A few things to think about.
One, the listing on Amazon appears to have been pulled. This might well be done if the 'publication date' is faulty.
Two, the content description reads like something that AI could easily have thrown together in a few hours.
Three, the content description actually uses a different name for the publication, possibly indicating a rushed and hurried job. It says
"Through detailed reporting, firsthand testimonies, and careful analysis, Charlie Kirk and the Utah Valley University Shooting explores the event from every angle
Four is a more analytical question. The fact of the shooting is established, so what would the purpose of a pre-published book be? What's the objective if it was indeed part of the conspiracy?
You are the news now. Handle with Care. ~ Q
In my opinion (and that's all it is), the problem starts here. People see things, like this screen shot shows, and ask
Embedded in this is an assumption that gets bedrocked as if its a fact. It's the wrong question. The correct question is, how was this 'article' time marked this way?
It's the same with the book issue. People saw the 'publication date', and instead of asking 'why or how was this book listed with a sept 9 publication date?'. they ask, immediately, 'how was this published before the event?'
This is how the faulty aspect of thinking works, and we see it everywhere, everywhere. One of the fallouts of Q showing how much conspiracy there actually has been. Because some people then start seeing them everywhere. And a lot of the time, its confirmation bias, period.
I went and watched the dude's video. I think I appreciate the creativity - the emotive music - but its a mess in terms of investigation or digging. I mean, its OK to ask questions, nothing wrong with that, but then you need to move forward with data, evidence and investigation, rather than simply settling on whatever assumptions fit your bias.
And, I don't think its unreasonable to assume that a fair number of people, including this guy, are all predisposed to thinking, this MUST be some sort of highly organized psyop like 9-11, where everything we read is fake and fabricated. etc. So, seeing the 7h, immediate conclusion? Part of the conspiracy!
By appearances, this is what happened. The dude saw a 7h next to a headline in the new section of bing. From there, he goes full tilt: "NYT pre-published this! Its a fact! Hold those responsible accountable!!"
No doubt, this completely plays to his audience, too. But instead of questioning how or why this 7h mark could come up, what's really going on, he simply assumes that it is definitive and clear evidence that "the NYT published this before the event". That's not critical or objective thinking, imo.
I don't know grasshopper, but glancing through his feed, it looks like he's established a bit of a career / niche doing decode salads, etc. (which I consider part of a trend that I personally (my bias) think is very bad for the Great Awakening. aka, the retardation of the Q movement.)
I'll leave it there. Grasshopper, working from the Netherlands (CEST, his computer system is using Dutch) saw the time mark for the NYT Live Update. And declares: New York Times Already had the article up 7Hrs to 22Hrs Ago!!!
The only way to get real verification of that would be to further investigate the actual article, find out the digital footprint of the time, etc.
I don't know how Bing assigns their time stamp info to posts, articles or news. I suspect that grasshopper doesn't either.
I suppose its possible that the NYT had the content ready to run or what? Really? Ran it early? Pretty lame operation. It's not 2001. 9-11 psyop could be run in 2001, could not be run today, I suspect.
I mean, do you think that Grasshopper is the only person or only Q aware person who somehow picked up on this? Do you not think that the New York Times would have plenty, plenty of readers reading it all the time everyday, especially during the middle of the day in the US, would NOT see an article prepublished saying, ooh, Charlie Kirk got shot! What? I don't get it? how? and then a few hours later actually get the real information, the real news, etc, and wonder "how on earth did the new york times publish this 4 hours before it even happened?
According to Grok, the NYT had approximately 11.3 million online subscribers as of August 2025. So, what are the odds. Decode Salad Influencer x 1, vs 11.3 million potential readers, and he's the ONLY one that saw this? And, NOT the actual article. He doesn't go there. He screen shots the news feed from Bing!!!
To me, its just. not. rational.
without a whole lot of other contributing data that supports the first proposition: "new York Time published their report 4 hours before the event happened!!!" I'd be asking, how did the 7h figure come up on Grasshoppers screen? did the NYT actually publish something 4 hours before the event? How can I know? How can I confirm? How can I check?
Confirmation bias. It's not asking questions that is the problem. It's how we approach the information that prompts the question in the first place. imo.
