My opinion is that this was foreseen in project looking glass, but in order to keep the timeline pure, there was nothing that would be done to stop it - except to have these posts line up with Q to give us comfort in the knowing that even though it's a shitty movie, it's still a movie. Unfortunately, people die in real life in this movie.
